Tulip doily + pattern - Tulppaani liinat + ohje

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing well. Spring is pretty late here, but never giving up. Same way, how I made my first doily maybe two and half years ago, I wish I made a photo of that to remember where I started. I kept practicing and today I show you that I made some tulip doilies in many colors. It is a very easy pattern - also for beginners. I share the pattern as well, what I found on internet. DIY Dreamcatcher. Unisieppari.

Hi Everyone,

In some Native American cultures a dreamcatcher is a handmade object based on a hoop, on which is woven a loose net, what reminds for spider net. The dreamcatcher is then decorated with sacred items such as feathers and beads. The dreamcatchers would filter out all bad dreams and only allow good thoughts to enter our mind. Once the sun rises, all bad dreams just disappear. Dream catchers are often used to keep children from having nightmares.

Nowadays it is a very fancy decoration object. Luckily before Easter features are available in every shops in Finland. :-)

Unisieppari on pajurenkaasta, lankaverkosta ja höyhenistä tehty Pohjois-Amerikan intiaanien taikakalu. Unisiepparin alkuperäinen tarkoitus on suodattaa pahat unet ja ajatukset päästäen lävitseen hyvät unet ja ajatukset. Kehään kudotaan punos joka muistuttaa hämähäkin verkkoa. Pahat unet tarttuvat verkkoon ja verkon keskellä olevasta pienestä reiästä pääsevät vain hyvät unet sisään. Aamu-aurinko haihduttaa verkosta pahat unet.

Nykyisin se on usein koriste-esine.

Onneksi ennen Pääsiäistä kaikissa kaupoissa löytyy koristehöyheniä! Upps, opin uusia sanoja suomeksi, tosin en tiedä paljonko niille on käyttöä. :-)

First SBS Crochet Shawl ever + Pattern. Ensimmäinen SBS Virkattu kaulaliina + Ohje

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are doing well. Snow is very slowly melting here, and not to lose all hopes, soon its time to take our winter clothes to the wardrobe and put on something lighter to be prepared for spring - even in Finland. :-)

I crocheted my first South Bay Shawlette ever, and with the same swing, I made my second as well. And third is on the way......

Should I explain why I made so many? Because it is so beautiful and very easy to make. I was a bit scared to start it, but this pattern is so easy as you have to repeat 2 rows only. And now for sure I can count until 3 and 7. :-)

It was so nice to crochet.

Toivottavasti voitte hyvin. Lumi sulaa täällä tosi hitaasti, toivottavasti pian on aikaa laittaa talvivaatteet takaisin vaatehuoneeseen ja laittaa kevyempää päälle, koska kevät tulee joskus - myös Suomeen! :-)

Virkkasin minun ensimmäisen South Bay Shawletten, kaulaliinan, ja samaan aikaan tein toisenkin. Ja kolmas on kesken.....

Pitäisikö kertoa miksi tein niin monta? Koska se on tosi kaunis and helppo tehdä. Vähän pelkäsin, kun aloin tekemään, mutta tämä ohje on niin helppo, pitää toistaa vain 2 riviä. Ja nyt varmasti osaan laskea kolmeen and seitsemään. :-) Nämä olivat kivoja tehdä.

Blue crochet slippers - Pattern in pictures: Virkatut siniset sisätossut - ohje kuvina

Hello Everyone!

Today I show you how to crochet slippers. They are super easy, fast to make and so lovely. I made a pair for myself and a pair for my daughter in my favourite color. If you can make the basic crochets, its also easy to make. Here are the photos step by step how to do it. I don't write down the exact numbers of crochets  because our feet are different, and during crocheting you should try it on time to time to fit well!

I used Novita 7-veljesta yarn and hook size 3,5.

Tänään näytän miten virkata sisätossut. Todella helppo ja nopea tehdä, ja erittäin mukavat jalassa. Tein yhden parin itselleni ja yhden tyttärelleni, suosikkivärilläni tietenkin. Ei vaadita kuin perusvirkkaustaitoa. Alla olevat kuvat näyttävät miten ne tehdään askel askeleelta. En kirjoita tarkkoja silmukkalukuja, koska jokaisen jalka on erilainen. Muista kuitenkin sovittaa niitä ajoittain virkkauksen aikana. Käytin Novita 7-veljesta lankaa ja koukkukokoa 3,5.

The process is: To the magic ring, 6 SC, close it, then increase in every round that much as your feet size is, than make some rounds without increasing. Then half of full round + 2 of the crochet make the bottom part, finally close it at the end, crochet around 2-4 times, with decreasing both side a bit. Finally you can decorate your slippers with a bow or flower or whatever you like! Have fun!

Työ etenee seuraavasti: tee langasta rengas sormen ympäri ja virkkaa renkaaseen 6 ks, kiristä silmukat ympyrän muotoon vetämällä langasta ja sulje. Lisää silmukoita joka kierros jalkasi koon mukaan, sitten tee muutamia kierroksia ilman lisäystä. Käytä puolet koko kierroksesta + kaksi silmukkaa tekemään pohjaosa, lopuksi päätä, virkkaa ympäri 2-4 kertaa vähentämällä molemmilta puolilta hieman. Lopuksi voit koristella sisätossusi rusetilla tai kukalla! Hauskaa virkkausta!
